Kerala wins UNIATF award prevention and control of NCD 2020


Kerala has received the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases Awards 2020 for its “outstanding contribution” in direction of the non-communicable diseases-related sustainable improvement targets. Kerala has been awarded for the tireless service of the state within the well being sector. This is the primary time for Kerala to be recognised by this annual UN Award and together with Kerala 6 different well being ministries throughout the globe have received the 2020 UNIATF Award.

About UNIATF Award 2020:

The 2020 award recognises the contributions and achievements of the 12 months 2019 on the multisectoral actions within the prevention and management of noncommunicable illnesses, Mental Health and different SDGs associated to non-communicable illnesses. The award additionally recognised the state-of-the-art lung illness management program, most cancers remedy program and paralysis management programme of the state.
