Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the development work of the Agra Metro undertaking in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The Agra Metro undertaking contains 2 corridors with a complete size of 29.4 km. It would join main vacationer points of interest like Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Sikandra with railway stations and bus stands.

About the Project:
- The estimated value of the undertaking shall be round Rs 8,379.62 crore. It shall be accomplished in 5 years.
- The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has set the goal to finish the primary section of the Agra Metro Rail Project by December 2022.
- Once operational, the undertaking will increase `Ease of Living` of the 26 lakh inhabitants of town and in addition cater to greater than 60 lakh vacationers who go to Agra yearly.
- It may even present an environment-friendly Mass Rapid Transit System to town.
