Andaman and Nicobar Command to conduct joint navy train ‘Kavach’



The Indian Army is to conduct a big scale joint navy train Kavach within the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. The train is to be held beneath the aegis of Andaman and Nicobar Command. The Joint Military Exercise Kavach will contain Indian Navy, Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard.

About the train:

  • During the train, the joint forces will execute high-density offensive and defence measures within the Andaman sea and Bay of Bengal. Also, they’ll perform amphibious touchdown operations, helicopter-borne insertion of particular forces from sea culminating in tactical follow-on operations on land.
  • The train is to fine-tune the joint struggle capabilities of all of the three forces of India.
  • Kavach Exercise can even contain coordinated air and maritime strikes, synergized utility of maritime surveillance belongings, air defence and touchdown operations.
  • Along with Kavach Exercise, the Joint Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) Exercise can even be held. The ISR will validate the capabilities of intelligence gathering. Also, it’ll validate the capabilities of data sharing from house, land, air and sea.
