India hosted Indian Ocean Region (IOR) Defence Ministers’ Conclave on the sidelines of Aero India 2021. The conclave is an initiative to advertise dialogue in an institutional, financial and cooperative atmosphere that may foster the event of peace, stability and prosperity within the Indian Ocean area.

The broad theme of the conclave is ‘Enhanced Peace, Security and Cooperation in the Indian Ocean’. The conclave can also be happening at a time Indian and Chinese troops are locked in a bitter standoff in jap Ladakh for the final eight months.
