Nokia has been chosen by NASA to construct the primary mobile community on the moon. NASA goals to return people to the moon by 2024 and dig in for a long-term presence there underneath its Artemis programme. The first wi-fi broadband communications system in house can be constructed on the lunar floor in late 2022.

- The community will configure itself and set up a 4G/LTE communications system on the moon, Nokia mentioned, although the intention can be to finally swap to 5G.
