SEBI constitutes committee for market information sharing


Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has constituted a Standing Committee, Market Data Advisory Committee (MDAC) to suggest applicable coverage for entry to securities market information, determine segment-wise information perimeters, information wants and gaps, suggest information privateness and information entry laws relevant to market information. The committee is headed by Madhabi Puri Buch, Whole Time Member, SEBI and has CEOs of inventory exchanges and depositories, representatives of varied stakeholders and senior officers of SEBI as members.

Thus, MDAC is a part of SEBI’s initiatives to make shareable information on the Indian securities market, out there for researchers, policymakers, common public alike and to boost the standard of such information.
