Veteran Gujarati movie star-turned-politician, Naresh Kanodia handed away. He was the youthful brother of Gujarati singer Mahesh Kanodia who died on 25 October 2020 in Gandhinagar after a protracted sickness.

Naresh Kanodia labored in over 100 Gujarati movies. Later he joined politics and was elected as a BJP MLA from Karjan constituency between 2002 and 2007. Both brothers have been often called the Mahesh-Naresh duo in Gujarati movie business and collectively shared credit score for a number of Gujarati hit films.
