Prahlad Singh Patel inaugurates “Tourist Facilitation Centre” in Kerala



Union Minister of State (IC) for Tourism & Culture, Prahlad Singh Patel just about inaugurated the “Tourist Facilitation Centre” facility at Guruvayur, in Kerala. The facility has been constructed underneath the challenge “Development of Guruvayur, Kerala” underneath PRASHAD Scheme of the Ministry of Tourism, at the price of Rs. 11.57 Crores.

About PRASHAD scheme:

  • The ‘National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive’ (PRASHAD) have been launched by the Ministry of Tourism within the 12 months 2014-15.
  • The goal of PRASHAD scheme is built-in improvement of recognized pilgrimage and heritage locations.
  • It contains infrastructure improvement equivalent to entry factors (Road, Rail and Water Transport), last-mile connectivity, primary tourism services like Information/ Interpretation Centers, ATM/ Money trade, eco-friendly modes of transport, space Lighting and illumination with renewable sources of vitality, parking, ingesting water, bogs, cloakroom, ready rooms, first help centres, craft bazaars /haats/ memento retailers/ cafeteria, rain shelters, Telecom services, web connectivity and so on.
