Cabinet approves Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana



The Union Cabinet has given its approval for Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ABRY) to spice up employment within the formal sector by encouraging the companies to do recent hiring amid the pandemic. ABRY may even incentivize the creation of recent employment alternatives underneath Atmanirbhar Bharat Package 3.0.

About the Yojana:

  • The Cabinet has permitted an expenditure of ₹ 1,584 crores for the present monetary yr and ₹ 22,810 crores for all the scheme interval from 2020 to 2023.
  • The scheme will present subsidy for 2 years in respect of recent staff engaged on or after October 1, 2020, and as much as June 30, 2021.

Eligibility
