The interceptor boat C-454, constructed by Larsen and Toubro at its Hazira plant, will function from Gujarat beneath the management of the Commander Coast Guard Region North-West of the Indian Coast Guard. It was commissioned by Surat Police Commissioner Ajay Tomar.

About Interceptor Boat C-454:
This interceptor boat is constructed indigenously by L&T Jetty, Hazira. It is able to a excessive velocity of 45 knots having the potential to function in shallow waters. The vessel is fitted with state-of-the-art navigation and communication tools designed for the high-speed interception, shut coast patrol, low-intensity maritime operations, search and rescue and maritime surveillance.
