Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the highest vacation spot for attracting the best variety of home vacationers visiting the state in 2019 as per the Indian Tourism Statistics (ITS) 2020, launched by the Ministry of Tourism. About 53.6 crore home vacationers visited Uttar Pradesh in 2019, which is 23.1% of the whole travellers. Tamil Nadu (21.3%) got here second adopted by Andhra Pradesh (10.2%).

Tamil Top vacation spot for attracting overseas travellers
- In phrases of Foreign vacationers, Tamil Nadu has topped the listing with practically 68 lakh foreigners visiting the state in 2019.
- Maharashtra (over 55 lakh) is on the second place on this listing whereas Uttar Pradesh (over 47 lakh) has secured the third place in attracting overseas vacationers visiting in 2019.
- Goa got here final on this listing with over 9 lakh overseas vacationer visits in 2019.
